So funny–I wrote a long (and not nearly as funny) post about not knowing when my CD1 was a couple months ago. They make it sound so simple–red blood! no spotting!–but when we are reduced to examining tampons like something out of CSI, there is something wrong with this scenario.

How is the metformin going? I know you wrote about this like a month ago, but I meant to comment and never got around to it–I did fine on 500 mg and 1000 mg, but upping the dose to 1500 mg really took it out of me–I felt awful. But after a month or so, my body finally adjusted and now it’s no problem. (Except the fact that when I drink, I feel ill, which is very sad for me.)

I adore the idea of a cooking/modelling combination but we don’t get top chef here so I have no idea what that would be like exactly. But most trash tv is good by me.

Alexa how long does it take you to write a post? can you just dash them off or do you have to plan/edit? Because they are so very fabulous it puts the fear of gd into me about my own writing!

I vote for CD1 on the first day you used protection – even if it tapered on and off.

Yes, cycle day one is an evil, evil invention. How can something so arbitrary be taken as the basis of so many important tests?

And charting sucks. Every time I visit my gyno (motto: how can I make you cry today?) he offers me one of those little cycle calendars. No thanks, dude. And by the way, I am on the pill, remember?

America’s Next Top Model and Top Chef — now that is a show I would watch. And M too. Nothing gets him in front of the TV as fast as a cooking show. Come to think about it, he probably wouldn’t even notice the modeling part. He’d be too busy checking out the osso buco.

I had to stop temping for that very reason. I started using ov-watch and it just tells me when I am fertile and when I am not. No more restless nights for me. Okay that was a lie but at least it is not do to temping. Good luck.
