The Post I Have Always Dreamed Of Writing…
No, I’m not pregnant.
But…I think I ovulated. For the first time in EIGHTEEN MONTHS.
(It helps if you picture calendar pages rippling off—it’s a long time, isn’t it?)
When I woke up Friday morning, my temperature was up by an entire half degree.
Probably a fluke, I thought to myself, heart drumming with excitement.
But it was still up the next day. And today—well, it dipped a little, but it is still high.
I started to count the number of severe intestinal episodes I have had in the last few months, since beginning the Metformin, but I stopped. If this worked, they were all worth it.
Progesterone test on Thursday.
p.s. Oh, and is it a coincidence that “Metformin” left me a comment yesterday?

Yay! I’m just so excited for you and your ovaries!
Quick, dowse it with some champagne!
:-)
Sweet, beautiful ovulation! Well done, you.
Congrats!! That is wonderful!
Ovulation is a wonderful time. You’re becoming a woman now! I’d like to send you some films and brochures to help you make the transition. There are also some wonderful books in the local library you could check out like “Overies Over Easy” or “Yay, You’re Fertile.”
Hey, congratulations! I’m so glad metformin dropped by. Perhaps progesterone will drop by my blog?
That is great!! Good luck and take care!
Dude, congratulations. Now I’m just waiting for my turn to ovulate. Always the last one…..arrgh….
Delurking to congratulate you on ovulating for the first time in a long time! That’s the first step, and it’s a HUGE one when you don’t do it often.
Woohoo! Go ovaries, it’s your birthday…
Hallelujah! Or however you spell that. I too know how fricking great it feels when self-ovulation is finally achieved. I’m assuming that you also had the requisite romps in the bedroom? If so, crossing everything that you’re now like a crack-whore and all it takes is just this once…
Excellent news my dear! Fingers crossed for that P4 to be superb. If Metformin is leaving you comments and Progesterone is dropping in on Thalia, does that mean Lupron should be visiting me with some assvice soon? Very happy for you - I know its been a rough ride with the Met.
Yay Alexa! Good for you!
How funny. I got comments from Oxycontin and Motrin. They weren’t very emotionally supportive, so I banned their IP addresses.
Congratulations on the ovulation. I hope this trend continues for you.
Release the eggs! :) What great news, Alexa.
CONGRATS! As a non-ovulator, I know just how fantastic this must feel for you! So, how does it feel to finally reach puberty?
That’s great! Congrats!
