Alexa – My fella was sans job about three or four months ago and it nearly drove me crazy. I am dreading retirement, I tell you, dreading it!! (I say this with affection, of course. Mostly, anyway.)

We’ve got a nest of newly-hatched house finches in a hanging basket on our front porch, inches from our front door. I’ve put a moratorium on entering or exiting from that door until they’re safely fledged.

Air conditioners are dangerous. And if he cleaned one or two square inches of apartment every day for the minimal nine months it would take to produce an infant, he'd have the place completely sterile. So that when the baby got home and started immediately walking around the place, it would be okay.
