Alive, Alive-O!
The ultrasound was perfect. Obviously both Science Babies are extremely talented and advanced, because they grew nine and eight days (respectively) in the six days since the last scan. Both are now measuring seven weeks and two days (I am 7w4d) and their heart rates were a robust 158 and 156. I am limp as a noodle from relief, and suffused with a dopey joy.
No time to post more–it is Scott’s birthday and time for cake!

oh yay yay yay! i can admit now that i was the teeniest bit scared after the last ultrasound. guess there’s something to the +/- 1 week in accuracy thing. probably also it depends on the machine and the tech doing the measuring. who cares why?! couldn’t be happier for you now!

Is it silly that I’m crying… I have PCOS and have had multiple miscarriages. I had all the signs with of a miscarriage with this pregnancy and they told me my embryo only had a 20% chance but at 27 weeks she’s kicking me in the bladder all the time and my risk is completely gone.
I’ve been thinking of you all the time and keeping my fingers crossed, I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!

I think it was probably the prospect of birthday cake that got the science babies so excited.

You seem to have deleted an entry that still showed up in my RSS feed. Don’t beat yourself up over the medication. I took that stuff during pregnancy and felt guilty about it, but you do what you have to do. Even if you didn’t get worse and it’s more for your mental health, that’s important, too. I lost 15% of my body weight before taking zofran frequently enough to keep enough food down. If I’m ever pregnant again and deal with HG again, I plan on getting on it as soon as vomiting shows up.
I took it too, I had to or I’d have ended up in hospital! babies fine thank god, they wouldn’t give it to us if it were dangerous for the babies. Personally it didn’t do much for me, I still vomited but if it does do something for you, keep taking it, or depression will set it and hows that good them?
