You will have to excuse the lack of stirring prose on this, day eight of NaBloPoMo. Apparently migraines are the new morning sickness. If anyone needs me, I’ll be in bed.
Please accept this picture of me as a Very Sophisticated Baby in lieu of a real entry.

Oh goodness, I hope those migraine’s come to an end very soon
oh no! i hope you feel better soon. migraines are the worst.
if you need to continue to use pictures as posts, i vote for cat pictures! i recall you have several but i cannot remember how many or their names or anything.
A very odd piece of, “Maybe it’ll work” advice, hand rubbing. My husband would massage my hands for (insert physical ailment for which I was unable to take drugs - usually headache and nausea). The area from wrist to the fleshy area around the thumb and up to just below my index finger, over and over again it brought relief, whether through distraction or something else I have no clue.
Good luck!
There are also two really great pressure points I use to lessen migraines or nasty headaches. Sit down at a table and place your elbows on the surface, then press your thumbs into the area about where your eyebrows meet. You have to wiggle around a bit, adjusting the pressure, but you should find that two spots on your orbital (?) bone (upper eyesocket) are more sensitive than anywhere else. Press as hard as you can on those spots, leaning into your thumbs until you can’t take the pressure anymore, then release. This usually decreases the pain for me, esp. if I catch it early enough.
Mind you, I usually follow this with a healthy dose of meds…
I realize that there’s no chance you’ll read this until your migraine has already passed, so I hope it’s of some use for next time. Feel better!
blech. migraine. i get them too. and they suck. hope it goes away very soon!
I just had my first migraine evah (in 38 years of life) last week. It was a hell I hope to never relive. I’m sorry you’re going through one now. And pregnant! And no good drugs!
Sorry to hear of your migraine, but how much do I LOVE that photo!!!!?? It looks like you’re saying, “Right Liam, I’m telling you that Argentina in the springtime is simply to die for.”
oh my… are you sure that’s not a baby pic of Elton John? hehehe
have you tried a chiropractor? when I got headaches while pregnant with my first child it was the only thing that seemed to bring some relief…
each trimester seems to bring its own ailment… just wait for the hemorrhoids in your third trimester! now there’s some fun!
You poor thing! Migraines are the WORST, especially when you can only wave a bottle of Tylenol sadly over your body. Seriously, ask a doctor if you can take something stronger, if you’re comfortable with that.
Adorable picture!
