18 Weeks: I Don’t Think You’re Ready.
I meant to have Scott take a picture of me each week, to document the baby-related changes in my physique. I say “meant to” because it hasn’t worked out that way—I was too paranoid to start until the second trimester, and one week I forgot, and another week we were out of town. As a result, we have pictures only from 14 weeks, 16 weeks, and now, 18 weeks:
When Scott handed me the camera after taking this picture I swore loudly and gaped at the tiny screen.
“I don’t think I look this big in real life, do I?” I asked.
“Oh no,” Scott said, “Most days you hardly look pregnant at all.”
“Really?”
“Are you kidding? Honey. You’re huuuuuuge.”

This is what I looked like (seriously) upon seeing a positive pregnancy test the second time around with 1 ickle one.
They say something about abdominal muscles relaxing, but I’m thinking it was the donuts.

You have the perfect baby belly! You’re one of those pregnant woman that just show it in the belly, I’m guessing.
I remember asking my husband if a tight cable knit sweater looked bad on me (month 7 of pregnancy). He said “I don’t know how to answer that. You look pregnant. Not fat, not bad - pregnant.” The look of terror on that poor man’s face.

You absolutely have to take a picture late in the third trimester that shows the horror on your face as you catch your reflection in profile. It’s astounding what the body can do.

Absolutely fantastic. Although, I was that size when I was 8 months, but that’s only because my stupid placenta wasn’t working. Obviously your placentas are both functioning at above average capacity. Goodonya!
