Day Twelve.

by Alexa on November 12, 2008

Well, I made it eleven days without having to resort to a cop-out baby picture post. That’s not bad, right?

Naked Baby

In my defense, this picture was taken only MOMENTS AGO. As in yes, the baby is awake nearly three hours past her bedtime. FIE ON YOU, WAKEFUL INFANT. FIE!

I love her “Daylight Savings wuh?” look. I’d keep that up, too.

I think you should post a picture every day! (In addition to writing, that is.)

Those cheeks! NOM NOM NOM

I love the post, cop-out or no.

I think that she and Julius should go on a babydate. Their eventual children would be so cute the universe would end.

she is clearly NOT having whatever you’re saying to her.

i used to watch carson long after my mother went to bed… could be a sign of things to come for simone.

The nights on which my daughter stays up that late are evil ones indeed. Especially since they are usually when I must wake up early the next morning.

No, it’s not bad at all! Especially when the baby in said post is so stinkin’ cute!

That’s six more days than I made it. And I already played the cop-out baby video card too.

Go to sleep cutie pie! Seriously, she is edible.

she is adorable! and I have to admit I did the “throw a baby pic on the blog” post in order to have SOMETHING posted, and I resorted to doing that LAST WEEK. Worse yet? I don’t even have a baby, I had to borrow a picture of my sisters baby to post.

she looks a little guilty to me.

I love that look! My son looks like that at me like, “Watcha talkin’ bout Willis? I ain’t tired.”

Reply

Leah November 12, 2008 at 11:08 pm

and yet she’s looking at you like, “What’s YOUR problem, lady?” Go. To. Sleep. Simone! Non-sleeping babies make me crazy. Good thing yours is stunningly gorgeous with those impossibly chubby cheeks to help her escape the wrath of a tired parent.

I love how she seems to look worried; it’s an adorable expression for an infant to have. Maybe she read this…

Great photo! (Perhaps this look means “I can’t sleep, and I’m feeling a little on edge about it.”)

Ah, the ‘don’t squish me’ face! My kids are practiced at that look too
I have an idea for a blog entry but please feel free to ignore me :) Could you do a ‘for those of you that came in late’ entry? I came across your story somehow or other when you were in hospital. I have no idea of the events that preceded that awful time. Of course, if those memories are too painful, please post more Simone pics and/or funny bunny cartoons. That had me seriously in stitches for quite some time

Love the furrowed brow and the “why are you pointing that camera at me?” expression!

Huh. Maybe the babies are conspiring. My nearly-six-month old is doing the same thing: waking up at 10 for an extended bargaining session because hey, why not test the proposition that nighttime is for sleeping. Two nights in a row now.

It was Wordless Wednesday, anything other than an extremely cute baby picture would be cheating. That was my excuse anyway…

Her expression looks like, “Fie on you for stickin’ that contraption in my face again.”

She’s cute enough to get away with it, though!

SHE IS SO CUTE! And she looks so much like her daddy! I imagine people remark on that al the time and this is about the most unoriginal comment I could make. So maybe a little fie on me too. *sigh*

You do realize you’ve given birth to Orson Welles in the Third Man, right? In a good way, of course.
