I'm also a 32.. Right now, as a nursing mom, I'm a 32 I can't believe I'm an I. An I! I was a G/H before I started nursing. I'm wearing Anita bras and they're great. And be happy you have a Nordstroms near you. I'm about 8 hours due north of you and have only little local bra shops that carry my size, so I pay over $100 per bras. Two kids in and I'm up to three nursing bras now. I went and bought some cheapy Sears ones with the first kid, and they were so horrible (like 36D) that I couldn't wear them out of the house.

I feel your pain and offer my sympathy. And to remind you that it could be worse, you could have -40C weather here, like I did today. ;)

I, too, am about to simply break down and buy from the internet. I have recently lost a lot of weight, but unusually, the boobage has not decreased at all. Which means that instead of wearing a 42D, I now wear a 38 DDD/E or maybe even an F, depending on how you measure (basically the bustline still measures 46, but the rib cage keeps decreasing in size). Anyhow, I have found one bra that fits from Lane Bryant, but unfortunately they don't go any lower than an 38 in store, so it's back to online for my next round of shopping, since the 38 has gotten to the point where it's really not the right fit anymore.

My one salvation is that less than 10 miles from my parent's house (where I will be visiting for the holiday in a matter of days) lies one of the largest outlet malls in the country, complete with Vanity Fair, Hanes, Bali, and many other bra manufacturers' stores. So. In the past while going there, I seem to remember a disproportionately large number of odd- or large-sized bras, so hopefully I might even be able to find some there on the cheap.

Sigh.

Mostly, I'm just commenting here to say that I totally feel for you with trying to find bras that fit. I never thought I'd have a harder time with clothing than when I tried to find plus-size sporting attire (because clearly if a plus-size woman exercises, it would behoove her to hide herself in garbage bag like tee shirts and flowy yoga pants, which is obviously the outfit of choice when one is doing things like running where there is no hazard of, say, tripping over something too loose-fitting...), but trying to find a bra that fits without spending $100 or ordering online has proved to be the hands-down most difficult attire purchase yet.

32D, or maybe a DD, here, and in full sympathy. Try Le Mystere, a "full figure" model like the Emma, or Donna Karan's Casual Comfort underwire sport bra, which is basically a bunch of thick cotton. Wacoal full figure ones are great, too. I buy mine on eBay, not being able to stomach the $65 price tags otherwise.

Alexa, this is totally off subject, but I was looking at the pics from a Nov post, and I noticed that you have a plunger from a syringe on Simone's high chair tray. I work as an infant nurse and I know from personal experience that the little black rubber piece can be easily pulled off by curious babies and would then be a serious choking hazzard.
Thank you for sharing pictures of your beautiful Simone - she is just gorgeous!!

I feel you on the bra buying experience. I can't even get lucky enough to own one from Victoria's Secret. The young salesgirls with the perfectly perky breasts tell me they don't make their bras in my size. 38D. At least not the one's that I want to buy.

And is that a cloth diaper on the beautiful Simone? Love the babylegs. She's sooooo pretty and I never tire of looking at her.

I have the problem of one breast being a whole cup size larger than the other. So, I fit the big one and the little one is drowning in fabric.

When I lived in Uptown, I was in a 100-year-old building with radiator heat. I had three radiators, one of which I had the maintenance people completely disconnect because my apartment was way to hot.

Then they installed thermostatic radiator valves.

When I left my apartment in the morning, I had two radiators hooked up, two windows open with fans in them, and it was literally 92 in my apartment. When I came home, I had three radiators hooked up, all with thermostatic radiator valves, and it was 74. I was in heaven.

Browbeat your landlord into installing them. It'll save them on heating costs, and you'll get to dress yourself appropriately in the wintertime.

Hi, I know someone else mentioned Figleaves, but you should know that they are having a huge sale right now.
The US warehouse is closing and everything is 90% off. The downside is you cant return stuff, but if you use their measuring system you should be ok, although I think their sizes run a little big in the cup, so if you think you measure 32F maybe get an E.
I usually order from Bravissimo who will ship from the UK, but I try to go for sale stuff otherwise its a little pricey.
I am a very odd 30For F*cks Sake, but have managed to get some great stuff from these guys.
Good luck!

I hate my boobs. Just on general principle I agree to hate all of your boobs too, as an act of sisterhood. When I am done milk making I hope to one day have the money to have mine trimmed down. I will enjoy (?) using all your collective advice to try when I must next buy bras but I still don't expect to come away happy. My baby may also be cute but there is just no comfort in ordering a size 42F. None. Nada. Never.
