Ann @ Hairy Farmer, Mad Men is a brilliant show done about the world of advertising in its heyday during the 60′s. It has just started its third season on the cable channel AMC to much critical acclaim.

I’ve never seen Mad Men, but if you ever want people to weigh in on “Bret v. Jemaine: who’s more lickable?” or “Cast of Lost: nominee for best scowl”, I’d be delighted to contribute.

Hooray for the walking! It’s true that the pitter-patter of little feet is a beautiful thing. But it’s amazing how that changed our entire house…childproofing is a real decor-killer (not that we had much to start with).

I can’t wait to hear news about the book!!!

“Simone can walk! Hooray, and yet, NO. NO, NO, NO.” That’s exactly right, and you don’t really need to wait until she traipses across the nation to some liberal-arts institution. Rather, for the next year (at least), expect to need to childproof the next 6 (vertical) inches every 2 weeks. At least if you manage childproofing as we did which is to say on a need-to-proof basis.

I keep checking back for book news. I’m anxious to buy it.

Also, Maybe you could try splitting the cost of a full-time nanny. We split the cost of a full-time nanny with some neighbors down the street. They to our house a couple times a week, and my son goes to their house twice a week. Works out great.
