She made me buy this dress, grabbing at it as we walked by and screaming “BUH! BUH!” This is the same basic method she used to induce me to buy a bag of whiffle balls later in the week. I did draw the line at a headband, seeing as she hasn’t any hair.

Buttons!

OK, I have two girls and need to know…. WHERE DID YOU GET THAT DRESS?
Assure Simone that we live in PA and there’s no chance of our girls showing up at the same event in the same dress (ah, the HORROR!).
And there’s a macthing headband?????
Heh. That’s how we ended up with a pair of (much beloved) Dora the Explorer sneakers. The K*M-rt store designers knew what they were doing, putting those shoes on the end cap.
p.s. Jodi, I believe that dress is from Gymboree (where there is an awesome sale going on, BTW).
Simone has EXCELLENT sartorial taste: those buttons are absolutely fabulous! AND Matching Shoes! Delicious, NomNomNomable child!
I’m enormously impressed with the gilt radiator, incidentally. I want one.
She is adorable!
Cute, as a.
PSH, she doesn’t need hair for a headband!
Adorable!!
She is SO stinkin’ cute in her “button dress!” Isn’t it amazing the way one day your baby just ups and turns into a little PERSON with preferences and favorite things and wee little neuroses all their own? Aww…
Also I love the smug little grin in the first shot; you can tell she’s feeling rather fabulous in her spiffy new outfit and it slays me, the cuteness!
She is so beautiful!! Great dress!
The bipedal thing is just killing me.
Also, the feeling her own buttons thing. She’s going to be trouble… She’s adorable in that dress and she knows it.
Holy God she is adorable. WANT!
so stinking cute…
Ooh That totally reminds me of an outfit my daughter had about 5 years ago, complete with a hat that color covered with the same buttons (it was from gymboree) !!! Sniffle… she is so much older now… (in HIGH school) and I am missing that little girl……….
That is a bloody good dress.
Rest assured!!! She has FASHION sense this little one of yours!!
Cutie Patootie!!
Love the dress, I would wear that! and the matching shoes too!
Waaayyy tooooo cute!!!! Love the dress. Get the headband!!!! She will get hair…eventually!!!
cutie pie. she knows what colours suit her. and she know what she wants. i love how she looks like she going to jump rope in the last photo.
Love the dress! She looks ready for fall. So cute!
Reading through the comments, I see that the dress is from Gymboree. I am tempted to go to the website, but then I know I’ll be sucked in to all the adorable kid clothes and not get anything else done with my day except spend way more money than I should. It is a great dress, though.
Beauteous!
She looks adorable!
What great taste she’s got! And she looks simply adorable.
Aw, I miss cute little dresses.
Since you asked, here’s my current favorite crockpot recipe. Take a chuck roast (3-4 lb) and throw it in the crockpot. Sprinkle a package of onion soup mix over it. Pour in a can of Coke (seriously) and cook on low for 8 hours or so. Awesomeness. You can use the liquid to make gravy if you’re so inclined. Do not use Diet Coke.
She has excellent taste in clothes :)
She has excellent taste – she looks adorable. My Caroline has done the same thing on a couple of occasions. And I LOVE the shoes.
She’s ADORABLE. Love babies with buttons, just want to eat them up.

This woman writes some of the best slow cooker/crockpot recipes I’ve ever tasted. From the basic to the fancy. I have to admit, sometimes I skip the chili peppers, but otherwise, I do everything she says, and it works, perfectly.
Such a beautiful girl in a beautiful dress! And, by the way, your appartment looks wonderful, take the little inconveniences with household organisation as sports. A house means a lot more work with garden and surroundings to be fixed, long distances and fear of robberies.
We brought our child up in the middle of downtown in a big city by the harbour. He has become a well-adapted city inhabitant with love for nature, not afraid of anyone or anything.
SO freakin’ cute.
She’s so beautiful.
Crushed. By. Cuteness. Also disturbingly pleased to recognize the Mac power cord. :) Alexa, you have excellent taste in children AND computers, a rare combo indeed.
GOD, Simone is cute!
So cute. Oh, the dress is too. Love the shoes!
Debbie Downer here…sorry.
I bought my daughter a dress with buttons that she wore exactly once (with buttons) since she figured out way too quickly how to pull them off and insert into mouth. Freaked me out terribly and the buttons were removed posthaste. It was an OshKosh dress so it was of fairly decent quality and the buttons *were* sewn on tight – I checked after the first one was removed (in Lowe’s of all places) and popped into mouth. Prior to that it would never have occurred to me that a baby dress would be a choking hazard.
Anyhoo…baby adorable. Dress adorable. Just count the buttons every now and again and make sure they’re still all attached securely.
Oh. My. Goodness. Your sweet baby is turning into a sweet little girl with fantastic fashion sense!
How can you stand it? Her cuteness. Her grown-up stance. From a distance, she could be a friend at a party.
Dear Alexa, my God she’s cute. And as for the dress, I would have screamed the same thing. Definitely a must-buh.
In case you’re wondering, I’ve been reading, I’ve just been hiding…
Well that’s a cutie of the day winner…
“Buh buh”?? OBVIOUSLY you had to buy it.
