Yippee!! I originally found your blog while starting my first IVF in 2008. My son was born in October of 2009, two months early. I’m sitting here 38 weeks pregnant, swollen and miserable from FET #2 wishing you the same discomfort 30 or so weeks from now. Congratulations!!

Fabulous news.

A flickering blob is very good indeed. One day it probably won’t pick up it’s socks when it is eighteen and also will probably refuse to brush it’s hair, but those are problems for later.

Hooray! I’m so happy for you. HEARTBEAT! :)

And I wanted to also thank you for recommending Mercy Watson in a recent blog post. I ordered all the MW books through my library after reading your post, and my 3-year-old ADORES them…and so do I! (Score! That doesn’t always happen, to say the least.) So, my whole family appreciates the rec! :)

Am nearly 22 weeks pregnant with my first baby and had no idea that hearing his heartbeat (at 6 weeks) was one of the COOLEST and BESTEST sounds I would ever hear, and it continues to be one of the best sounds I’ve ever heard as I’ve heard it at subsequent OB appts.

Only just catching up on this wonderful news now, so slightly belated congratulations on your pregnancy and a huge hurrah for a heartbeat!

Very happy news!

At first I thought the title was “It’s Alice!” and I was momentarily stunned by what one could tell with an early sonogram these days…

Which is, of course, Australian for “that is WONDERFUL news and I am so goddamn thrilled for you.”

Giddy UP, Alexa. Well done. Keep growing, lil embie.

XOXOXOXO
